I wish I could be more inspired to dress in a vintage manner in the summer, however I can’t claim that. The fact that NYC smells like a moist dumpster and that between your apartment and the subway you can be totally drenched in sweat lessen the luster of dressing.
So when the Mrs. Maisel exhibit at The Paley Center for Media was in August I got dressed and headed there to meet up with friends. It was certainly worth it for the gorgeous outfits.
And of course the beautiful set pieces
I think one of my favorite things is that a woman complimented my outfit and then asked, “But do you always dress like that??” I try lady, God knows I try.
A cross between Iris Apfel, Miriam Margoles, Lucille Ball. But I am a devoted maximalist through and through. Although, as another inspiration once said
Style—all who have it share one thing: originality.
